Why it's important to manage your high blood pressure

Your doctor may already have told you that you need to do more to lower your blood pressure. This may include weight loss, exercise, stress-management and other lifestyle changes.

But not everyone can lower blood pressure using lifestyle changes.1 Benicar and Benicar HCT are powerful medicines that treat the problem.

In clinical studies, Benicar/Benicar HCT is shown to help many people with all types of high blood pressure reach their blood pressure goals.2-4 So no matter if your blood pressure is a bit high or very high, Benicar/Benicar HCT can help lower it and keep it down. By lowering high blood pressure, you may reduce the risk of more serious health complications.5,6

BENICAR and BENICAR HCT are indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. They may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. BENICAR HCT is not indicated for initial therapy.

You may need 2 or more medicines to reach your BP goal

According to a panel of blood pressure experts, most people don't reach their blood pressure goal with just one blood pressure medicine. A convenient option may be to take a single medicine that combines two different types of drugs, such as Benicar HCT.
